Description
Located in Bruce Peninsula National Park this spectacular natural arch was formed along the Georgian Bay coastline. The arch can be reached by taking the Georgian Bay trail from the trailhead in the park and is about a 4km hike with some rugged terrain towards the end.
Dolomite limestone forms much of the rock of the escarpment cliffs along Bruce Peninsula National Park's Georgian Bay shoreline. Since the last Ice Age, water levels in the region have undergone great changes. Softer limestone has been eroded away by water action, leaving overhanging cliffs, caves and arches .
