Description
At 6:00 am at the Wiarton Marina on Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada, the waters were calm, wind non-existent and the night cloud cover was drifting off to the West. Illuminating by the sunrise the sailboats could see their amazing reflections in the waters.

Another beautiful image with exquisite composition and dramatic early morning light. Love the reflections, especially of the sky as it all adds to the drama and the mood of the image.

Congratulations on your win, Barbara. That's a "wish I were there" photo.

Thank you very much Cliff! You would have to get up by 6:00 am to have seen it.

Beautiful! Good use of technical skills too!
Barbara McMahon replied:
Thank you so much Joan! I can't take the credit for technical skills in this shot. Captured just as Mother Nature presented. I love it when that happens!

Gorgeous night capture, love the reflection, voted!!
Barbara McMahon replied:
Thank you so much Sandi! Although the sky is dark the image was shot about 6:00 am. The rising sun was behind me and storm clouds were approaching in front.

Barbara, you've created a very dramatic piece that has the added advantage of exploiting the geometry created by the triangles of the rigging and their mirrored repeat in the water. Your color is excellent and the lighting is perfect. I love it. vote 18, favorite, promoted as Daily Favorite in the CFC group
