Artist's Description
I was inspired to paint this naive art style city scape of Guanajuato after visiting that beautiful city in Mexico. Guanajuato's complex underground network of roadways is paved in cobblestones and well-lit with junctions, cross roads and even pedestrian footpaths. The organization of the tunnels is similar to that of a city subway system and several local public bus routes run underground. Thank you for viewing. Barbara McMahon

How uniquely beautiful you've composed this cityscape, Barbara. I just love your style. f,v
Barbara McMahon replied:
Thank you Ana. The painting is not far from what I viewed while staying in Guanajuato. The acquaducts ran under the town and the colourful houses are piled on the hillsides. Tall church steeples were everywhere.

Barbara McMahon replied:
Thank you Paul. I barely knew how to mix the paint! As far as geometry goes, you may have an inkling as to why my paintings are all a little askew. Again, thanks so much. YOU ROCK!
