Description
This painting was inspired by my neighbour's cats, Oreo (B & W) and Jewel (fat cat). Oreo was a fine mouser and always into mischief. Jewel waddled her 35 lbs. around enough to reach her food dish. Both have gone to cat heaven, Jewel because of health issues and Oreo....well....he went hunting one night and never returned. The original painting now hangs in my neighbour's home.
"OREO" was the featured artwork in the NOAH CENTER 12th Annual "Music for the Animals" auction in Stanwood, Washington, 2014.
A large print was auctioned off, and OREO was the logo on the auction catalog, invitations, tickets and parking passes.

The colors are bright and bold; perfect for the movement that is in the piece. Everything appears to be doing a happy dance from the chairs to the wine glasses to the floral vase to the cat under the chair. The zest and vibrancy of life is what I see in this painting.
