Description
With a little luck our long Winter is behind us and today was the perfect day to pack some trail mix, some water, my camera and enjoy a hike. The deer were out by the dozens and in a lower meadow I spotted a group and tried to get closer. Naturally they were gone in a flash, but I went down the slope, across the wet meadow, got a soaker and decided it was time to have a snack. There was a log at one end and I sat there, looking at the view that just a few minutes ago had a herd of deer. No doubt the young Spring grass was a fine meal but even more importantly was this beautiful little spring creek. It was only about 2 ft. wide and I had to cross in order to leave. Just before I did my "big step" I saw the glint. Swirling, shining, clear. Glorious spring water flowed over smooth little stones. The sun danced across the rivulet creating this beautiful abstract. No props were used in this photograph. Just the sheer beauty of Mother Nature.
