Description
After a storm the beach at old Fort Lauderdale was littered with Portuguese Man of War. Most had literally deflated, but this fine fellow was still filled with air and had his sail up. Very toxic so do not touch. Not even the tendrils which can be quite long and concealed under sand.

I love the purple rim and blue bladder. These scare me however, even when on the sand like t his.

You have my vote in the unique creature contest.

Wow! Thanks so much Derek! This is the only one I found with air still inside. The other's had deflated. Not sure if they are in the BC coast but I'm sure you know enough to beware. Thanks for your vote!
