It was a foggy, cold damp day during the last days of Autumn. During my hike I was traversing a hill, complete stillness, dense fog and rather gloomy. The ground was wet and the dark tree trunks look ominous. When I looked up an unknown source of light was shining ahead. The sun was not visible, only the last of Autumn leaves that illuminated the trail. The atmosphere was astonishingly beautiful and I was unable to see far ahead but paused to bask in the glow of the Autumn leaves. The trail beyond was still covered in dense fog holding the secrets of unknown adventures.

Barbara, Fantastic painting of nature in the forest, great write up in the description box detailing what lead up to this remarkable paining. Excellent detail in the forest with the leaves from fall having left their trees and fallen on the ground creating a path and also piles of leaves on each side of the path. Love the use of your colors in leading you out of the forest without the use of sunlight. Excellent painting really pulls you into it and makes you feel like you are right there.
