Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

The remnants of a boundary are seen that were erected by Canada's Indigenous people as they had taken a stand to reclaim Ipperwash Provincial Park. I am standing in Native waters to take the shot.

The Ipperwash Crisis was an Indigenous land dispute that took place in Ipperwash Provincial Park, Ontario in 1995. Several members of the Stoney Point Ojibway band occupied the park in order to assert their claim to nearby land which had been expropriated from them during World War II. During a violent confrontation, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) killed unarmed protester Dudley George. On Thursday 28 May 2009, Ontario Aboriginal Affairs Minister Brad Duguid formally signed over control of Ipperwash Park to the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation.

Barbara McMahon

Barbara McMahon is an artist that paints and photographs the beauty, the humanity and the unseen moments on this planet with a passion that is deeply rooted within her psyche. Usually inspired by something she has witnessed in nature or by the emotions evoked by music or human and animal connection, Barbara is compelled to capture that scene with a passion and desire to share with as many people as possible. As her experience has grown in the art world, she has developed a deeper understanding of this vast universe and her own flickering place within it.
